Richard Crooker for the Win!

The Granite State Mini Sprints were at Legion Speedway for the O'Reilly Auto Parts Twilight Racing Challenge for the second week in a row this Sunday. The 500cc's had a healthy car count as always. The first and second place finishers both worked their way up from the rear. No. 71 Chris Carbee was the winner, Matt Hoyt finished second in the 07, and Shawn King took third in the 4 car. The 600's only had seven cars, but the race for first, second, and third was spectacular. No. 21 Richard Crooker took the lead fairly early in the race and held off all challengers for the win. No. 73 Jake Williams took second after being involved in an early race caution, but battled fiercely for the spot with no. 19 Toby Tatro. On the last lap Tatro got too high in turns three and four and Kyle Belliveau managed to get by him for third.

No. 56 Chad Turck got his first win of the season in The Mike's Automotive Sportsman Modifieds after having to settle for second or third many times this season. He took the lead early in the race and no one challenged him for the spot. Ryan Avery came from mid-pack for second in the 01, and Josh Sunn came from the rear to take third in the no. 11.

No. 91 Doug Boucher was the winner of the Peanut's Automotive Super Street/Bond Auto Parts Pure Stock feature. After a rough season, it was a very hard-earned and well-deserved victory. No. 7W Robbie Williams came from mid-field to finish second, and third place went to no. 30 Sam Comeau. Ryan Ovitt was the Pure Stock winner in the 77 and Cassie Ottati was second in the 54.

The Enfield Garage Outlaw Mini Stock winner was Mike Lique in the no. 7, points leader John Knight finished second in the 12k, and third place finisher Dave Durkee in the 67 moved into second in the points chase.

Next week Legion Speedway will feature topless modifieds and wingless SCoNE sprint cars. The gates open at noon, hot laps at 2 and the green flies at 3.
