The O'Reilly Auto Parts Twilight Racing went green at 3PM on Sunday June 8. The night's events were sponsored by Peanut's Auto of Canaan, NH and the day spotlighted the use of seat belts, as it was "Buckle Up NH" day.

The results of the special day at New Hampshire's only dirt track saw the usual excitement expected from dirt racing. The Bond Auto Parts Sprint Cars of New England saw Clay Dow of Barnstead, NH charge from 7th place to 1st on lap one. Dow set a super fast pace, only to slide into the wall in turn four and come to a stop in turn one, putting his #58 back behind the wall for the rest of the show. Will Hull #61 would work his way to the lead and have several challengers to fight off before his win. The "Topside Tornado" Dan Douville #7x blew by the field for second, and Kevin Chaffee took the outside way to third in the #8.

Mike's Automotive of Tilton, NH Modified drivers continued the fast and furious competition on Buckle Up NH day. The Peanut's Auto gold went to Chris Donnelly #20C, Ryan Avery finished second in the #01, and Kevin Chaffee brought home another third place trophy in the #73.

In the Peanut's Auto Super Street feature JP Vaillancourt saw his two wins in the Super Four Challenge come up short as he finished second to the #55 of Derek O'Hearn.

After Vaillancourt's win at Bear Ridge Speedway on Saturday night, he was halfway to a $500 bonus, which goes to the first driver to win 4 events in a row between Bear Ridge and Legion. In a move that exemplifies good sportsmanship, Derek O'Hearn let JP borrow his back up car #55x to race against him at the Legion on Sunday. The two cars sat side by side in victory lane with O'Hearn first, Vaillancourt second, and #30 Sam Comeau in third.

The Enfield Garage Outlaw Mini Stocks continue to grow in number. New drivers this week were #01 of Scott Tracy from Hartford, VT and #2 Russ Hersey of Keene, NH.

John Knight piloted the #12K to his second win of the season, last week's feature winner Craig Smith in the #97 finished second, and Dave Durkee #67 finished third.

The Bond Auto Parts' Pure Stocks also saw a new face, Phil Plummer out of Alexandria, NH. Plumber raced his #14 Monte Carlo to third in his first race on the dirt. The #77 of Ryan Ovitt, the division's points leader, placed second, and Ronnie Bryson #5x won his second feature in his comeback season.

Next Sunday the O'Reilly Auto Parts Twilight Racing Challenge will be joined by the Bear Ridge DIRT Pro Sportsman Coupes and the POWRi Outlaw Midgets. Post time is 3 pm.
