The Sprint Cars of New England were on hand tonight for round one of the Triple Crown series. Claw Dow led the entire distance but had to fend off the challenges of Chris Donnelly and Matt Hoyt to take the win. Donnelly and Hoyt waged a race long duel for the runner-up position with Hoyt using a lapped car to his advantage late in the race to seal the second spot. Donnelly was third followed by Dan Douville in fourth and Jake Williams fifth.
The Homestead Creations Sportsman Late Model Main Event saw Dave Stearns jump to the lead from the pole position at the drop of the green, maintaining the lead until Bob Crawford moved to the front with six laps complete. Crawford maintained the top spot until a very patient Matt Pike worked his way around Crawford on lap twelve. From there Pike maintained the top spot to take his second win of the season.
