Jason Sanville Flies to 3rd Win of Season
Submitted by: Alan Ward on 2016-09-12 at 18:07

Lacey Hanson Scores 1st career win in Sprint Cars of New England

Jason Sanville flew to the front at the drop of the green flag in the Peanuts Auto Sportsman Modified Feature and was never really challenged, leading all the way to take the win, his third of the season. Ricky Sanville finished a solid second with points' leader Derek O'Hearn crossing the line third. O'Hearn had to come from the rear as he was part of the races' first caution. Brian Whittemore recovered from a mid race spin to finish fourth with Matt Lashua completing the top five.

The Sprint Cars of New England were on hand for the final time this season and ended up with a first time winner. Just last week at Bear Ridge Speedway Lacey Hanson's machine received frame damage in a wreck. Steve Hutchinson was on the sideline due to a broken rear end. This week Hanson and Hutchinson combined their cars to make one and that is what Lacey Hanson drove to the win with Friday night, it was Hanson's first career win in SCoNE action. Hanson started 7th and had the lead by lap four. Tyler Austin finished in the second position with Chris Donnelly, who started 12th claiming third. Donnelly was actually second as the white flag flew and made a bid for the lead but the all out effort cost him a position in the end. Ryan Avery and Dan Douville rounded out the top five.

Petro Mart of Enfield Super Street action saw a good battle up front between Donald Ottati and Toby Start before Ottati claimed the lead for good with 11 laps complete in the caution laden event. For Donald Ottati it was his 1st career win. Matt Pike worked his way to second at the checkers with Hunter Nutter third. Doug Boucher and Tim Martin completed the top five.

The Enfield Garage Outlaw Mini Stocks ran twin 15 lap events, combining the finishes for the overall winner. No results were available at press time, pending technical inspections.

The Granite State Mini Sprints will be making their last appearance of the year this Friday night, joining the regular divisions of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Twilight Racing Series

The Legion Speedway goes Green every Friday Night at 7:00PM and is located on Route 25 at the Rumney/Wentworth, NH Town line.
